This topic explains how you can use the install scripts to quickly setup QuickEasy BOS. For more on how to install QuickEasy, click here.
The scripts below are included in the Installation file available on the QuickEasy website.

Startup Scripts are essential an must be executed when a new Database is created. Without the Startup scripts you will not be able to log-in to QuickEasy BOS.
The Startup scripts contains two (.sql) scripts and they have the following purpose:
Startup - This contains two scripts.
Startup Script - This script does the following:
Creates the company record and sets the licensing information.
Creates the Admin user who has access to all the Modules.
Adds the default Transaction statuses and default Alerts.
Links default Templates.
Adds base currency for ZAR.
Inserts default units for Materials.
Adds two default Stock locations.
Adds Categories for Materials, Services, Customers, Suppliers, Accounts and Jobs.
Creates default Workflow modules.
Adds default Contact positions.
Adds default Production codes.
Adds a list of default Accounts and default Accounting Transaction Types.
Adds default Credit Terms.
POS - This script sets up the POS functionality.
Creates Accounts for Tips, POS shortfall, POS surplus, Casual wages.
Creates Transaction Types for Tips Received, Shortfall, Tips paid, Surplus.
Inserts denomination for local currency from R200 to 5c.
Create Staff - This script is predominantly used for testing and populates the database with Reps and Production Staff records.
The Setup scripts will configure QuickEasy BOS with generic setups, automatically creating Customers/Suppliers and setting up Pre-Press, Finishing, Printing Types, Despatch and Production parameters.
The following Setup scripts are available:
2. Customers - This is to populate a demo database with pre-setup Customers content for testing purposes or sales demonstrations. This is not necessary if you are setting up a customer's BOSPrint.
3. Suppliers - This populates the database with a list of paper Suppliers by region.
4. Prepress - This script sets up the application with Pre-Press options: Artwork supplied, Copy and image supplied, Existing artwork, Design and Layout. This script also sets up the Production Stages for these Services.
5. Finishing - This script sets up the application with Finishing Services: Binding, Cylinder, Folding, Guillotine, Handwork, and Morgana.
6. Print Types - This script provides Printing Types (Litho, NCR and Digital), and includes the Presses, Setups, Sections, Ink groups, Run options and Production Stage for each Press per Print Type.
7. Despatch & Packaging - This populates the application with Despatch and Packaging options and contains multiple region selections for Despatch. This also creates some Packaging options: Shrink wrap, Boxed A4, Boxed A3, Wrap in brown paper and Boxed business cards.
10. Final - This script finalises the setup. This links all created Production Stages for each Production staff member. This is to be run after all the other scripts have been run.
QuickEasy Tools provides everything you need for QuickEasy BOS. You are able to download files from Tools as well as update and maintain your Database.

Open Tools and navigate to Utilities > QuickEasy Downloads.
A Downloads window will appear. Select the desired file and click download.
Fixes and scripts can be found in the Execute SQL Statement window.
Fixes are used to fix and improve the current version of QuickEasy BOS.
Scripts are used to upgrade to the next version of QuickEasy BOS.
See screenshots below on how to execute a fix or script on QuickEasy Tools.
If you want to upgrade, you must first run the Fix of the current version, before the Script of the next version.

Right-click on your connected database and select Execute SQL Statements.
The Execute SQL Statements window will appear. Click on the hamburger-menu button (top-right menu icon) and select the version of BOS you need scripts for.
This will open a list with all the latest fixes and scripts. Double-click on the desired script or fix.
Click on the play icon in the top menu to execute the selected script. Close the window once execution is complete and disconnect the database.
If you want to execute more than one script make sure to disconnect and reconnect between execution as a precaution.
