Estimates are used to calculate the cost and pricing of Printing Services. Estimates will calculate the total costs and added values of a printing service taking all the components in consideration i.e. materials, pre-press operations, finishing operations, presses with their running costs as well as despatch costs.

Make sure to first view the Quotations topic.
Estimate are created within a Quotation as an itemised entry, therefore the Quotation must be created first.
Navigate to Main Menu > Customers > Quotations.
Click New.
The Quotations interface will open. Select a Customer.
Click on the Estimate button and select the desired Estimate Type. See screenshot below:
a. Printing - This is used to Estimate printing that is produced internally, and will guide you through the steps needed to complete an actual printing job. For more about Printing Estimates, click here.
b. Outsourced - This is used to Estimate outsourced printing and includes supplier and proofing steps that you will find in the usual printing Estimating process. For more about Outsourced Estimates, click here.
c. Generic - This is used for jobs that don’t require the complexity of print Estimating. Estimators simply add Services, Materials and Despatch costs. For more about Generic Estimates, click here.
d. Template - This is used for recurring jobs. You can simply add a previously created Estimate to the Quotation. For more about Printing Estimates, click here.

Multiple quantities can be added to an Estimate and displayed on the Quote Letter, but only the selected quantity will be totaled to the linked Quotation.
