Digital badges can be used to highlight the accumulating competence in studies and other activities. There is an orientation package in Moodle for familiarising yourself with the use of digital badges and the rights to award badges, which will help you build basic knowledge of the use of badges in Oulu universities.

Log in to course space in Moodle: https://moodle.oulu.fi/course/view.php?id=22700
The course key is "badges-oulu".
Complete the induction package, after which you will be entitled to use the Open Badge Factory system, where you create and issue badges.
You'll get your own open badge for finishing the orientatioin package.
