O365, collaborative Powerpoint presentation

What for?

Students create collaboratively a presentation that may be for example a assignment between lectures.

What I did?

Students collect their assignments in one shared presentation.

The students visited web sites of different municipalities and learned about early childhood special education from those. Each student created one slide of their own in a shared Powerpoint slide set.

How to use?

  • Log in O365 by using university's account (http://office365.oulu.fi/)

  • Open a new Powerpoint presentation.

  • Write the instructions of the assignment to the first slide.

  • Send the slide from O365 to students via email (if you are using traditional desktop application, send the link).

  • When you are saving the attachment, O365 gives two choises: Load and share as OneDrive link / Attach as a copy. Choose the first option.

  • Now each student is able to edit the same Powerpoint file.

  • When you go to your lecture, jus open the file from your email. The students are able to present and discuss about their job. Someone may have been eager enough to even illustrate the whole presentation :)
