Yuja translator
(for the captions/subtitles file)
What for?
In addition to automatic captions, the Yuja media service used by the University and Oamk has a translation function that utilizes the created captions (subtitles) file.
You can use the function, e.g. as follows:
Request "auto captions" for your video
Edit the original language subtitles to be correct. (Add points and commas, etc.)
Request the translation you want for additional subtitles.
Edit the errors off from the automatic translation.
The viewer can now choose either original or translated subtitles for your video.
The choice of subtitle language can be found behind the cogwheel icon of the Player window.
There are over 40 languages and the quality of the translation (and automatic subtitles) certainly varies, and the result is not perfect without editing.
However, the translation function of subtitles is a good and quick help for a multilingual environment.
