On Monday, we will be celebrating and sharing some research. Volunteer children have been modelling how to develop good habits. Miss Sedgwick and Mr Roberts will also be sharing the new systems we have set up to support children and staff to develop their best version of themselves.
This begins with 'Habbimapping' a quick and easy way to reflect on our good and bad habits and the habits can sometimes be good or bad depending on the context. I copy the template in the image below. You could help yourself and your children by talking about these together. Next, we will then be talking about our habits, why we do them and what we can do to improve them 'Habbichatting!'
Finally, we will be building these reflections into our ongoing Learning Journal and Staff Appraisal Reflections...You may have guessed it, 'Habbitracking!' Jokes aside, the critical drive for this approach is to help children to reflect on their own habits and so to help them to be the people they want to be. A worthwhile endeavour I am sure you would agree!
So, have a habbichat at home and, if you are brave enough, model this at home - you are the biggest influence on your children's lives!!
Well done to Mr Flint and Mr Lloyd for their achievement in completing the recent 10K challenge. A success built on the development of great fitness and running habits. Inspirational!
60 in September - Freya!
Well done to Freya for completing the 60 mile in September challenge, raising £440 for cancer research! She ran 2 miles EVERY day...despite the heat wave at the start of Sept, and the torrential rain at the end...without a single complaint !
Firstly, we are sad to share that Mrs Cleary, Caretaker and Premises Manager will not be returning from her long term absence. We thank her for her hard work and significant contributions to the school - of note, the very popular fish tank and scarecrows. We also wish her the very best for her future. We are also keen to appoint a Breakfast and After School Club Manager and a range of assistants, to allow us to increase our capacity and offer and allow more children to enjoy and benefit the club.
We are open to either a Premises Manager to include the Caretaker role or a split role - depending on the applicants!
