Dear Middle School Parents,
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas break and were able to spend quality time together as a family celebrating the birth of Jesus.
The school year offers predictable rhythms and checkpoints throughout the year. The MS Camp and Chinese New Year break are in five weeks, followed by Middle School Week Without Walls two weeks later, and then another two and half weeks until Easter break. Before we know it, we will be watching our Grade 12 students walk down the aisle on graduation day. As a teacher, I always began the second semester knowing that summer would arrive in the blink of an eye, and that some things might pass us by if we don't take the time to pause and enjoy each moment.
As we look ahead to this semester, I am excited about all the great events and activities that await us. We have more sports seasons ahead, the MS performance of The Wizard of Oz, concerts, art shows, field trips, and much more to anticipate. Please take a moment to pray that God would bless and use these events for His glory.
Thank you all for your continued support and prayers as we enter 2026.

Reminders:
Cold Weather Dress Code: Please remember that our school dress code is still in effect as the weather gets colder. Students should wear ICS coats and outerwear unless the Hong Kong Observatory issues an official Cold Weather Warning.
Please be reminded that smartphones are not to be used by Middle School students on campus or during school events. Parents should contact the school office, rather than their child's phone, if they need to reach them during school hours.

MOVE Dance Club Showcase
To anyone who has ever felt the pressure to pretend to be someone else.
To anyone who has ever questioned, “Am I enough?”
To anyone who has ever felt something so conflicting and deep they can’t put it into words.
Growing up comes with unfulfilled expectations, misunderstandings, lost identities, etc. This year’s dance showcase, titled ‘Unspoken’, explores the heavy weight of the emotions we keep hidden within us as teenagers, and how we navigate this time of immense change.
Join us on Jan 23 to get a glimpse of how we get in touch with these raw feelings—not through our words, but through our movements—as we illustrate our coming-of-age experience involving complex interplays of emotions, sudden realizations, and resilience built along the way.
