Dear ICS Community,
Anchored in Joy, Prayer, and Gratitude
The upcoming week is packed with the kind of moments that make our community shine: varsity basketball teams heading to ACSC, middle schoolers off to camp, and our Glee Club stepping into the spotlight before the Lunar New Year break. In the middle of the excitement, let’s anchor ourselves in the simple, powerful reminder from 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances.” These verses provide a profound framework for navigating both the big moments and everyday hum of this time of year. We’re here to rejoice in the hard work, courage, and creativity happening across every part of our school. This busy season isn’t just a schedule—it’s a celebration of who we are together.
Amidst the logistics and excitement, we are also called to pray continually. Prayer steadies and sanctifies our efforts: moving beyond a pause to a constant heart posture. As one community, let’s pray for one another; not just for the big events but for patience in crowded hallways, for grace in communication, and for eyes to see the blessings woven into every detail. In this area, we are grateful for the steadfast support of our Parents Association Prayer Team, which upholds our students, events, and, most specifically, our dedicated faculty and staff in intentional prayer throughout the year. Their commitment is a vital reminder that we are supported by a foundation of shared faith and care.
With this in mind, let’s move through these days with intentional gratitude: the third part of the call. We give thanks for the opportunities afforded to our students, for the dedication of coaches, teachers, support staff, and parents who make these moments possible. This spirit of thankfulness reminds us that our busyness is a reflection of God’s grace and generosity to us. When we choose joy, stay prayerful, and live gratefully, we’re doing more than just getting through the week. We’re living out God’s call to an abundant life in Him.
With joy, prayer, and thanks

Chinese Club's Shenzhen Glass Painting Adventure
Our Chinese Club's cultural trip to Shenzhen on Jan 29 was a brilliant success! The highlight was a glass painting workshop at Shenzhen Book City, where students transformed simple glass into sparkling, colorful masterpieces with focus and flair.
After creating their artworks, the group enjoyed a fun and friendly dinner together, filled with laughter and lively conversation. It was a perfect blend of hands-on creativity, cultural immersion, and club bonding.
We returned with beautiful crafts, big smiles, and even bigger memories. Well done to all our fantastic students!

ICS Health Office would like to draw your attention to the recent increase in cases of acute gastroenteritis (AGE) in Hong Kong. According to the Centre for Health Protection, there has been a rising trend in AGE outbreaks in schools and institutions over the past few weeks.
AGE is highly contagious and typically caused by viruses such as norovirus or rotavirus. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, fever, and general malaise. The virus can spread easily through contaminated food, surfaces, or close contact with infected individuals.
To help protect our school community, we urge you to reinforce the following practices at home:
Practice Good Hand Hygiene
Wash hands thoroughly with liquid soap and water for at least 20 seconds before eating and after using the toilet.
Note that alcohol-based hand sanitizers are not effective against viruses like norovirus.
Maintain Food and Environmental Hygiene
Ensure food is properly handled and prepared.
Clean and disinfect surfaces regularly, especially if someone at home is ill.
Keep Sick Children at Home
If your child experiences symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea, please keep them at home until they have been symptom-free for at least 48 hours or as advised by a doctor.
Avoid Sharing Personal Items
Encourage the use of individual cups and utensils, especially when using drinking fountains.
Stay Informed
For more detailed guidelines, you may refer to the CHP’s “Guidelines on Prevention of Communicable Diseases in Schools” available here.
If your child shows symptoms of AGE, please notify the school health office promptly. For further questions or concerns, feel free to contact us at 39200059/39200220.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school community safe and healthy.
Please check the carpark Lost and Found Station for any water bottles belonging to your child. Unclaimed items will be removed after a certain period. Thank you!
The Uniform Shop will be closed from Feb 14 to 20 for Lunar New Year holiday. Operation will resume on Feb 21, 2026.
