We’re thrilled to share Wo Siu’s (Class 3B) fantastic achievement in the U8 Go Tournament (新人王戰), hosted by the Hong Kong Children’s Go College.
On 1 October, Wo showcased impressive skill and determination across a challenging tournament structure. Competing first in a morning stage (青銅戰) with 59 players, he advanced to an afternoon stage (白銀戰) against 44 competitors. His excellent performance has earned him a well-deserved spot in the final knockout round of 16 (金獎戰) this Sunday, 5 October.
We are cheering him on for the final round and are incredibly proud of his dedication and success. Let’s rally the ICS community to support Wo!
Congratulations to Ryan Chan (Class 11G5), who recently achieved an extraordinary milestone by representing Hong Kong, China at the prestigious 2025 Speed Skating World Championships in Beidaihe.
Competing in the Junior Men's Track events, Ryan showcased exceptional talent and determination on the global stage, earning an impressive 28th place in the world. His performance was pivotal in helping the Hong Kong team climb from 28th to 21st in the Nations Ranking, a significant achievement for the team.
This remarkable success is a testament to Ryan's 12 years of dedication and passion for the sport, following his outstanding performances in the qualifying Hong Kong and China National Championships. We are incredibly proud of Ryan and believe his hard work and success will inspire the entire ICS community.
