• At the Le Guan Cup Youth Ice Hockey Invitational Tournament in Tianjin on Oct 3, 2026, Nathan and his team won the Gold Medal, and Nathan was named MVP in the third game. 

• He then continued his impressive form at the Bangkok Paradise 3-on-3 Ice Hockey Tournament in Bangkok on Oct 10, 2026, helping his team finish as Runner-Up and earning the MVP award in the second game.

We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Leah Wong (3D) in two recent competitions.

• At the China Fencing Federation – Nanjing Yangtze River Fencing Competition on Oct 5, 2026, Leah won third place in the U8 Girls’ Foil event. Competing against 43 talented fencers from different provinces, she earned her first national award—a wonderful reflection of her skill, perseverance, and determination

• Leah also won her first medal in an age-group swimming event, taking a medal in the 100m Backstroke at the Kowloon City Age Group Swimming Competition, organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the HKSAR Government on Oct 11, 2026.

Congratulations to Zachary Lau (2C) on his excellent performance at the Kidult Chess Academy (KCA) Beginner Tournament, held in Hong Kong on Oct 11, 2026. Competing against 42 participants, Zachary finished as first runner-up after five intense rounds and received a gold medal. This is a wonderful achievement and a great reflection of his focus, strategic thinking, and perseverance. Well done, Zachary—we are very proud of you!

Congratulations to Nicole Wong (11G1) on winning 1st Runner-up in the 17+ Women’s Épée Competition at the Chinese Fencing Club League Championships, held in Foshan, China, on Oct 4, 2026.

Competing against talented fencers from across the country, Nicole’s strong performance, determination, and skill earned her this well-deserved recognition. Well done, Nicole—we are very proud of her achievement!

Congratulations to our ICS students for obtaining 4th in the final round of the Doctor of Excellence × CUHK Centre for Bioethics Debate Competition 2026! We recognize Ashley Tang and Lucas Chen for competing in the final round, and Christy Lie and Kristobel Hung for their valuable contributions to the team’s essay, which laid a strong foundation for their arguments and helped the team advance to the finals. Special congratulations to Nicole Pau and Guinness McKenzie, who each received a Best Speaker Award! 

Interested in participating next year? The competition typically takes place during the summer. Students interested in medicine, healthcare, ethics, philosophy, or debate are encouraged to look out for the 2027 competition announcement. Well done to everyone involved!

We are proud to share that Ethan Tian recently represented Hong Kong, China at the Junior Presidents Cup 2026, becoming the first player from Hong Kong, China ever selected for the International Team.

During the tournament, Ethan competed alongside some of the world’s top junior golfers under 19, gaining invaluable experience and exposure. This historic achievement is a wonderful reflection of his talent, dedication, and hard work.
