ICS VEX Robotics Team
We are proud to celebrate the outstanding performance of our ICS VEX Robotics Team at the Hong Kong Tech Challenge 2026 V5RC Skirmish Cup on January 17. Competing against international schools, the team demonstrated exceptional skill and collaboration. They achieved a remarkable 1st place in the Autonomous Programming Challenge, scoring the highest in the tournament, and earned a strong 5th place in the robot skills challenge. The team finished in the top half of the qualifiers, securing the 6th seed overall. This impressive result marks significant growth from previous tournaments. We congratulate the entire team for their dedication and for earning the Autonomous Coding and Sportsmanship awards. Special thanks to all who supported them, including the coach and faculty. Well done!

Our ICS chess players achieved outstanding results at the Hedon HK Interschool Chess Doubles Championship 2026, with victories in both the Lower and Upper Primary sessions. In the Upper Primary session on Jan 18, our school secured the Top School Champion Award, thanks to the combined scores of our second-place team, ICS - Yin & Yang (Matthew Fang, 6G5 & Josephine Chan, 6G3), and our ninth-place team, ICS - Team 67 (Hinson Law & Paul Chiu). Additionally, ICS - The Warriors (Elson Lau, 4C & Samuel Yu, 5D) earned a fantastic fifth-place team award.
In the Lower Primary session on Jan 11, our teams dominated, claiming the Top School Champion Award with the 1st-ranked team, ICS - Team 67 (Hinson Law & Paul Chiu), and the 3rd-ranked team, ICS - Team 6741 (Thaddeus Lee & Timothy Cheung). ICS also earned the Top School 2nd Runner-up Award with teams Jay Lam & Siu Wo and Cruz Chan & Bryant Ma. ICS - Twins Rules (Owen & Ethan Tsang) secured a 4th-place team award. Congratulations to all participants on these brilliant achievements! Special thanks to our coach, Mike, and teacher, Mr. McDougald, for their invaluable support.

Our school’s debate club has achieved outstanding results in the 41st Sing Tao Inter-School Debating Competition. Our team – Gabriel Choy (12G5), Clara Lau (11G2), and Caleb Law (10G6) defeated Stewards Pooi Kei College with a score of 3-0 in the third preliminary round with Clara Lau awarded the Best Speaker Award, successfully advancing to the quarterfinals and will be facing the ISF Academy for a spot in the semi-finals in March.
