The U20 boys concluded their season yesterday in the ISSFHK finals, playing a nail‑biting match against Discovery College. The game finished 1–1 in normal time and was decided by a penalty shootout. After a great display of courage and persistence, the team narrowly lost in the shootout and finished second overall in the league, earning a well‑deserved promotion to Division 1 for next school year.
Last Saturday, ICS Debate Team secured a win in the semi-finals of the 41st Singtao Inter-School Debating Competition against Raimondi College, earning their place in the Grand Finals on May 5 at Queen Elizabeth Stadium. We are incredibly proud of our team, especially captain Gabriel Choy (G12), who was named Best Speaker for the round.
While many schools engage hired coaches, our team has been led largely by student leaders Gabriel and Aimee, with guidance from Mrs. Edwards, and the generous support of Auntie Ruby and Uncle Ryan (Caleb's dad). We are truly thankful for their dedication and for the way they have built this team together.
We now invite our school community to keep the team in your thoughts as they prepare for the Grand Finals against Diocesan Boys' School. Let's rally behind them as they represent ICS in this historic moment! Go, Team! 🗣️
Our students, Joshua Chow (G10) and Ivan (G9), took part in the Japan Cup VEX V5 Robotics Competition on March 20-21 in Tokyo. The competition featured teams from Asia and was designed to foster international exchange through STEM education. The Hong Kong team, captained by Joshua Chow, finished runner-up and also won the Best Build Award. Congratulations to our tech-tinkering innovators!
