Dear High School Community,
This semester, I have heard from a number of faculty, students, and parents who thanked me for improved communication this year. While I can’t gauge the sentiments of the entire community, I will say that this has been a regular comment to me so far. I would add that our communication efforts are still far from where I want them to be, but I am very happy to hear that everyone feels well-informed and clear about what is going on in the High School.
One of the great themes in Scripture is God speaking clarity into chaos. At creation, God uses his “word” to speak order into the “formless and void” (Genesis 1:2–3). In the storm, Jesus rebukes the wind and the sea, and calm follows (Mark 4:39). In the face of all evil, and the past, present, and future sin of God’s people, Jesus speaks from the cross with the authority to wash everything clean: “It is finished” (John 19:30). Christian communication, an outgrowth of Christian education, takes this theological foundation very seriously. God is a God of order (1 Corinthians 14:33, 40). We, however imperfectly, speak truth to a deceived world, clarity into confusion, and life into cultures of death. While keeping a school community clear and informed pales in comparison to the weightiness of God’s powerful word, God’s people take whatever is entrusted to them, however small, and apply the same truth and power to it that God models in the largest contexts (Luke 12:48).
With each passing year, I hope that our High School, and our entire school community, will look more and more like our Creator and Savior, especially in how well we communicate and in the manner in which we do so.
Blessings,
Kiel Nation, D.Min
High School Principal

For years, it has been a cherished ICS tradition for families to order poinsettias that transform our theatre into a festive wonderland for the Christmas concerts.
These stunning plants (priced from $45-$80) do more than just decorate our stage; they are a living testament to our joy as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. By participating, you are directly helping to create a joyful and worshipful atmosphere for our students and the entire community.
Your poinsettia plays three important roles:
It Decorates Our Theatre: Your poinsettia will be placed at the front of the stage, creating a beautiful and festive frame for our performers and spreading joy throughout the concerts.
It Comes Home with You: After the final concert on Dec 18, you can collect your poinsettia from the JLL security office (8 am - 5 pm) to enjoy at home.
It Spreads Love: If you prefer not to collect it, we will donate your poinsettia to an NGO in the Shatin area, sharing the love of the season with the wider community.
This is a simple and meaningful way to contribute. The cost will be conveniently charged to your school bill next month. We are in the final days to place our order. Let’s come together to fill our theatre with the spirit of Christmas.
Join us for our annual concert celebration of learning & song at "A Classic Christmas," where our vocal musicians will collaborate to present timeless carols and cherished holiday melodies. Celebrate the season with an evening of beautiful harmonies, festive cheer, and musical tradition. We look forward to sharing this joyful experience with you and your family!
ICS Christmas Strings Concert is coming on Dec 12, 2025 at 7:30pm! Ticket will be available on ICS Portal " ICS Event Tickets" on Nov 28. Each family can get 2 tickets.
All tickets will be release 2 days before the concert. If you need more ticket for your family and friends, please get the extra on Wed, Dec 10 after 9am.
Let us show God's love and care by packing a care pack with hygiene items for low-income families and the elderly in need during this holiday season. This is a perfect chance to serve our community directly.
Please bring your donated care packs to the Service Learning Office (Room 204) between Nov 17 and Dec 5.

Whether you plan to attend university near or far, you can stay on track with the SAT. Most colleges—including those that are test optional—still accept SAT test scores. Together with high school grades, the SAT can show your potential to succeed in college or career. And if you're thinking about studying abroad, there are more than 400 universities in 85 countries outside the United States that use the SAT in the admissions process.
