Dear High School Parents,
You will have seen an email from me in your school account on Thursday morning announcing sign-ups for Parent/Teacher Conferences (PTCs) on October 17 and 18.
PTCs are a wonderful way for parents to connect with their child's teachers and to hear about their child's learning journey. As a teacher, I was always encouraged by the desire of ICS parents to understand how their child was doing academically, relationally, and spiritually. These conferences often focus on areas of struggle or concern with the students, but they are also a time to celebrate achievements and growth.
The High School faculty is eager to speak with you, and get to know you better as we work together to develop each student. We always appreciate parent feedback and always embrace polite and respectful engagement. Thank you all for trusting ICS with the education of your child.
Blessings,
Kiel Nation, D.Min
High School Principal

In anticipation of the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, the World Languages Department is excited to announce a Han Fu Day celebration on September 29th for Secondary and October 3rd for Elementary. We encourage all students to wear their prepared Hanfu (Chinese traditional clothing) to embrace and celebrate our rich cultural heritage during this festive occasion.
On this day, students may choose to wear Hanfu to school; alternatively, they are required to wear their school uniforms. We believe this event will provide students with a wonderful opportunity to learn about and appreciate traditional Chinese culture while deepening their understanding of the significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
We invite you, as parents, to engage in this celebration by preparing Hanfu that reflects the unique characteristics of Chinese culture. Your involvement will not only enhance your child's experience but also foster a sense of pride in their heritage. Whether it's selecting a beautiful Hanfu or sharing stories about its significance, your participation will enrich this cultural celebration.

Whether you plan to attend university near or far, you can stay on track with the SAT. Most colleges—including those that are test optional—still accept SAT test scores. Together with high school grades, the SAT can show your potential to succeed in college or career. And if you're thinking about studying abroad, there are more than 400 universities in 85 countries outside the United States that use the SAT in the admissions process.
Parents, be empowered and equipped with the knowledge and resources you need to support your child's growth and success. This page provides resources, and we hope to help parents navigate the challenges of parenting and support your child's overall well-being.
