On January 17, the ICS History Bee and Bowl team won 1st Place in the History Bowl competition in the Hong Kong Regionals held at Canadian International School, with junior Marcus Wong also winning 1st place in the History Bee for the Varsity (11th-12th grade) Division.
The International History Bee and Bowl are two English history trivia competitions held around the world, and have competitions in many Asian cities such as Seoul, Tokyo, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The Bee is for individual students, and the Bowl is for teams.
Last weekend, the ICS MUN Team competed at the CAISMUN III Conference. Among our 15 participants, 1 served as a chair while the others represented 5 different committees, debating issues from global oxygen shortages to NATO’s role in Ukraine. The beating heart of MUN is learning how to be wise and good in a complex world. Our team earned numerous awards, from Honorable Mentions to Best Delegate.
