Dear ICS Community,
“David said to the Philistine, ‘You come to me with a sword and spear, but I come to you in the name of the Lord Almighty’.” (1 Samuel 17:45, NIV) David’s courage before Goliath reminds us to face giants with faith, preparation, and community. In Athletics, our Warriors learn to trust God as they train, compete, and grow into leaders who serve their school and the global community.
As the new Athletic Director, I’m impressed by the program I inherited and grateful for the strong foundation laid by former Athletic Director Tim Cresswell, whose decade of service deserves heartfelt credit.
I am grateful for the warm reception to ICS and the opportunity to lead the ICS Athletic Program. This first season has demonstrated what is possible when we pursue excellence with humility, rely on one another, and keep Christ at the center of our training and competition. Since August, 13 middle- and high-school teams competed in 100+ ISSFHK, HKSSF, and ACSC fixtures across football, volleyball, and swimming. Our facilities are used to its capacity daily and yet we have managed to expand the Junior Warriors program for our Elementary students, starting up new teams in basketball and football.
ICS strives to provide balanced growth across all aspects of student life. Despite our busy athletic program, students still have the opportunity to grow spiritually through our Friday roots group, ensuring students grow in faith as they develop physically. Equally, ICS supports opportunities in the arts and music, allowing students to pursue creative expression alongside sport and faith. This balance is made possible by careful scheduling and thoughtful allocation of resources, enabling students to participate in athletics, spiritual life, and the arts without compromising excellence in any area.
Our teams are performing well above what size our school might suggest, consistently competing in the top two divisions of a 35-school league in ISSFHK and reaching playoff finals in multiple sports in Season 1. This success reflects not only athletic excellence but the character, discipline, and teamwork that define ICS, guided by our values whether in victory or defeat. None of this would be possible without our dedicated faculty coaches who mentor students and model ICS values every day. I’d also like to extend heartfelt thanks to the Athletic Department, Sanet Lombard, and Gabriel Wu for their tireless behind-the-scenes work to make the Warrior program possible.
Thank you for your continued support as we look forward to the rest of the year. May we continue to seek the Lord in all we do, celebrate every effort, and trust that He will guide us as we grow into true Warriors in every sense.
In Christ,
Simon Pang
Athletic Director
Dear Parents,
Following our Monday's forum, the Board of Trustees sincerely wishes to thank all the parents who participated. We are carefully reviewing all the extensive feedback and diverse perspectives from our parent community.
The Board is conducting a thorough evaluation of several options including but not limited to:
1/ Reducing the proposed ACL amount while extending the completion of school's CAPEX requirements;
2/ Adjusting the debenture repayment period;
3/ A combination of both approaches;
4/ Maintaining the current debenture system (status quo); and
5/ Having any new scheme to apply to new students only.
We will be providing a comprehensive update in early December outlining our findings and next steps. No final decision will be made without further community consultation.
We appreciate your patience as we work through this complex matter thoughtfully. Please continue in sharing feedback with the Head of School's office this couple weeks to ensure all perspectives are considered.
We would also ask for your continued prayers into these significant matters.

Our school’s domestic worker clothing drive is a wonderful way to show support and appreciation for the hardworking domestic workers in our community. The goal is to collect gently used clothes in good condition that can make a real difference in someone’s life. It’s a chance for all of us to come together and give back in a meaningful way.
Please remember, this drive is specifically for clothing, hats, backpacks. so no personal hygiene items or worn-out clothes, please. The collection will take place at the ICS carpark ,so let’s work together to make this effort thoughtful and impactful! Thank you!
If your child has lost a water bottle or lunch box, please check the Lost & Found table in the car park.
Unclaimed items will be removed periodically, so be sure to look for your child's belongings soon! Thank you for your cooperation!
