Dear ICS Community,
Hong Kong has once again made us proud, securing an impressive 4th place globally and hitting the top in Asia in the 2025 IMD World Talent Ranking. This is more than just an accolade; it's a powerful testament to the city's collective effort and a reminder of the potential God has placed within our community.
This achievement underscores a vital truth: those of us in the education sector share a profound responsibility in nurturing students to become the next generation of talent. This success is built on the hard work in our classrooms, the unwavering support of parents, and the dedication of our educators, all underpinned by our shared faith.
To Our Students
This is your world to shape for God’s glory. The future will reward your curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence. Your task is to dream boldly and learn how to build solutions for tomorrow. Remember the words of the prophet Jeremiah: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to
give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11). Seek His purpose for your talents.
To Our Parents
Your support is the foundation of this success. Please continue to encourage a love for learning and resilience. Engage in family conversations about integrity, love, empathy, and leadership, following God’s command to “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6). Your guidance, rooted in love and truth,
builds the character that transforms sharp minds into wise, Christ-serving leaders.
To Our Educators
You are the architects of our talent. Your role is evolving from imparting knowledge to igniting God-given potential. You are empowered to foster curiosity, guide ethical reasoning grounded in Biblical truth, mentor holistically, and nurture the uniquely human skills that technology can never replicate — compassion, grace, and spiritual discernment.
Let's continue this joint effort to help our students not just thrive, but become the defining talent of the next generation: those who can dream and build what AI cannot. Together, let us be faithful stewards of the talents He has entrusted us.
Blessings,
Albert Yeung
Director of HR & Board Secretary

❓What is Seasonal Influenza❓
Seasonal influenza is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It is common in Hong Kong, typically peaking in January-March and July-August. While most healthy people recover without issues, it can cause serious illness, especially in young children.
👀 Key Symptoms to Watch For 👀
Fever (>37.8C)
Cough
Sore throat
Runny nose
Muscle or joint pain
Fatigue and headaches
Some children may also experience vomiting and diarrhoea
🫱 How it Spreads 🫲
Influenza viruses spread mainly through droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. It can also be spread by touching surfaces contaminated with the virus and then touching the eyes, nose, or mouth.
🛑 Prevention is the Best Protection: Vaccination is the Most Effective Step🛑
The seasonal influenza vaccine is safe and effective. The CHP recommends vaccination for all persons aged 6 months or above. It is the best way to protect your child and our community from serious complications
Due to increased seasonal influenza activity, we are implementing the following health measures across the entire Shek Mun campus to protect our community:
Check the temperature at home daily. Students & Staff with a fever (37.5°C ear or 37.8°C forehead) must stay home.
Temperatures will be checked again upon school arrival. Students & Staff with a fever will be sent home
Key reminders to prevent the Spread of Communicable Diseases.
