Ingredients
1 large Potato
1 tbsp Butter
2 tbsp Oil
Salt & Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
Peel the potato, then shred it with a cheese grater.
Rinse the shredded potato under cold water until the water runs clear.
Squeeze the potato shreds tighly with paper towl to remove as much water as you can.
In a mixing bowl, mix together the shredded potato with oil and desired amount of salt and pepper.
Heat a frying pan to medium heat and place the shredded potato into the pan and squish it down hard with a spatula to flatten it around the pan.
Once the bottom is crispy, flip the potatoes over and cook until other side is also crispy.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes
You can add onion powder, garlic powder or paprika for more flavour!
Serve with eggs and a piece of fruit for a balanced breakfast.
