~1.5 hrs
~4 servings
Ingredients
3 Large Potatoes
1/4 cup milk
1/8 cup butter
1 medium Onion (chopped)
1.5 lbs Ground Beef
1/2 cup Beef Broth
3 Garlic Cloves (minced)
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tbsp Ketchup
2 cups Frozen Mixed Veggies
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 cup Shredded Cheese
Instructions
Fill a large pot with water and place it on the stove on high heat & preheat the over to 375 degrees F.
Cube the potatoes into ~1-2 in cubes and place into hot water. Boil until forked tender.
Meanwhile, heat a large frying pan to medium heat. Once hot, add the ground beef and cook until browned. Once browned, add in the Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, 1 tsp salt & 1 tsp pepper.
Remove the seasoned meat from the pan and place into a bowl for the meantime. Into the same hot pan, add the onions and cook for ~ 3 mins before adding the garlic. Cook for an additional 1 min. Stir the meat back into the pan with the cooked onions and garlic.
Once the potatoes are tender, strain out the water and mash the potatoes with milk, butter, salt & pepper to taste.
Place frozen veggies in a small pot and cover with hot water. Place on the stove over medium-high heat. Once the water is boiling, remove from heat and strain. Mix the veggies in with the meat.
In a large backing dish, add the meat/veggie mixture to the bottom.
Spread the mashed potatoes over top and sprinkle with the cheese.
Bake in the oven at 350 for 20-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and starting to bubble. The edges should be golden brown.
Allow to cool for 10 mins before serving.
Notes
Serve with ketchup or hot sauce to dip.
Keep in the fridge for up to 4 days.
