Mariam D. was born on the 18th of February. She is an Arab-American and currently lives in Georgia, USA. Her current favorite book is “The War That Saved My Life” by Kimberly Bradley. Her hobbies are reading, baking, and embroidery. Lavender and Turquoise are some of her favorite colors.The present role she plays in Journalism is a photographer, and some of the articles she helped photograph are “Ruth Bader Gingsburg” and “Halloween During COVID-19.”
Thalia S. is an 8th grader at DT Howard and she is a photographer. Her work can be seen all over the site. She takes pictures for reporters in all categories and some of her work is displayed in the gallery section. She occasionally writes articles for the Science, Health, and Safety Category. She speaks German fluently and is learning Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing with her pug, taking pictures, and looking for article inspiration. She joined the journalism club this year.
Hello! I am Ellalaine S. I have a fascination with a lot of wildlife and ecosystems, in particular reptiles and invertebrates. I’m a big fan of video games and often write about those, particularly those I’m able to play. My favourite subjects are science and social studies- in particular the history of behaviours and how populations throughout the world react to different events. I love to watch and review movies and shows. Not all that interesting outside of what I do. I’m also trying to learn to cook, though I have no particular skill with that right now. My favourite stuff to write about is entertainment, be it traditional media, online stuff, or video games! Best game recommendation: Ori and The Blind Forest
Sierra P. is a reporter for the news category. She is new to Howard (and Journalism Club) and enjoying it so far. She also enjoys running cross country, musical theater, and hanging out with friends and family.
