Step Aside Wordle

In recent months the browser game Wordle has grown to immense popularity among the students of David T Howard, and for good reason too. Wordle is an immensely enjoyable experience that manages to be simple enough to understand, yet complex enough to master. Plus the Wordle Unlimited mode delivers the core experience of the base game with the advantage of being well…¨unlimited.¨ The impact Wordle has had on Howard is staggering to stay the least. Out of the many students I surveyed 86% of them have played Wordle at least once. Wordle is great, but that's not why you're reading this article, is it. As Genius as Wordle may be, I interviewed a great many students that have gotten tired of the game. One student even stated, ¨It's fun at first but it gets old quickly,” so I have discovered a creative substitute. Globle is heavily inspired by Wordle in its core design, but with geography instead of words. Essentially players must first guess a random country that will then appear on the globe as a shade of red. The darker shade of red it is the closer that country is to the Mystery Country. It is a surprisingly clever and supremely enjoyable substitute for Wordle. So what are you waiting for, try it yourself!
