I can understand why you would want to return to school. Maybe you miss seeing your friends. However, you have to consider logic. Going to school in person during a pandemic is just an illogical idea in general. You can easily be infected just by a lot of people being around. Even if they have precautions and masks, one person is most likely going to slip through the cracks. Children have gotten COVID-19 and spread it to schools all over the US. Why do some people think that Howard is immune to that? Besides, it is quite nice at home. You can get some snacks and take breaks easily. I know that some people just cannot stay home, but you should. It ain’t that hard to just not go somewhere and to not leave a building unless absolutely necessary. Kids can learn very well from home. A lot of kids got Principal’s List and Honor Roll this semester. Besides, kids haven't really been tested on for the vaccine. So I know that none of you have gotten it. Maybe your parents have. But you are not your parents. You should still be careful. And besides, if your parents are doctors, they probably would not be letting you go to school anyway. Therefore, you could spread it to your parents and people who are in the highest risk category, and even more people have died. Hey, did you know that most people get diseases by staying close to each other? It is just common sense to stay at home and wait. Bad things happen to people who are impatient. Listen to all the scientists and health officials who are telling people to stay at home. The teachers probably have not gotten the vaccine either due to adults not receiving it yet. This makes every single person in that building susceptible to the virus. Everyone maybe except the nurse. Now my point is that in-person schooling is a detriment and a hindrance and the slight gains are not worth the clear and dangerous risks.
