Ever since the beginning of March there has been nothing but madness. This NCAA tournament has brought about upsets and blowouts. With all the twists and turns of the first 2 rounds no perfect brackets remain.
From the moment the ball was tipped in the first four chaos was bound to happen. Notre Dame(11 seed), Wright St(16), Indiana(12), and Texas Southern(16) emerged from the first four games of the tournament with a win under their belts. In all conferences except the east the first four seeds advanced to the second round. Fans were shocked when Saint Peter’s college (15) came out with a win over Kentucky(2). After the upset only 743 perfect brackets remained.
The second round games brought 6 more upsets. In the East, North Carolina(8) beat number 1 seed Baylor in a tight game. Saint Peter’s(15) once again came up with a win over Murray St.(7). In the Midwest Miami(10) grasped a near blowout against Jabari Smith and Auburn(2). 3 seed Wisconsin took a six point loss to Iowa St.(11) The south had two upsets take place in the second round. Michigan(11) beat Tennessee(3) by eight and Houston(5) beat Illinois(4) by fifteen.
As the teams thin down to the final 16, who knows what kind of madness lies ahead this March.
