This issue of the Horn features a new recurring column called “Hear it on the Horn”. This column is inspired by a parlor game questionnaire popularized by French writer Marcel Proust. The “Proust Questionnaire” is also a feature of Vanity Fair magazine. Each issue of the Horn will pose 15 personality questions to a member of the David T. Howard Middle School faculty, student or staff.
Our first interviewee is none other than Ms. Joy Antone, Interim Principal at David T. Howard Middle School.

What is your favorite Occupation? My favorite occupation is being an educator. I enjoy coaching teachers to be their best and having an impact on student success!
Who are your heroes in real life? Although my father is no longer living, I cannot overlook the fact that he is my real life hero. He was a middle school teacher. Growing up as a child, I had to share him with many students because he was a natural mentor and made sure that all students had what they needed. My father gave everything he had to his students and adults in need. Oftentimes, my mother had to remind him that he had four kids at home to provide for. He is my hero.
