Halloween 💀😈
Halloween is an age-old tradition dating back for centuries. It started as an ancient festival of the Celtic called Samhain. tradition to ward off ghosts, and in the eighth-century a.d. Pope Gregory III designated November first as a day to honor the saints. Soon the two traditions mixed and then Halloween arose. It wasn’t dressing up and getting candy until the early 1800s when people in the US started the tradition back up, except this time on October 31.
Is it safe to trick or treat?
The lingering question that a lot of people are asking. Is it safe to trick or treat? Well according to one CDC article, “There are some safe ways to trick or treat, like wearing a mask, staying 6 feet, only going to houses where no one else is, and making sure that if your giving the candy, to be outside.” At the bottom of the page is a link to a PDF published by the CDC.
So Should you Trick or Treat?
That is up to you. My family is going to trick or treat. I found a way to incorporate a mask into my costume, and I am going to wear gloves. We also got a grabber to grab the candy.
