Hello Rams! The Girls Varsity basketball team won against their opponents KIPP Metro 28-24 at our very own David T Howard. The games was very action packed. Not just the girls on the floor but the girls and boys in the stand and on our cheer team. On the side lines the crowd was going crazy and each school’s cheerleaders were having a flipping show down. On the opposite team there was a girl with the jersey number 2 and she was doing good and carrying her team, but our school shut her down and took home the victory. The starters for the girls team numbers were 25, 14, 10, 20 and 30. All of those players and the girls on the bench or the ones that got subbed in all did an amazing job. Although we won, the crowd for the opposite team was not the best. For example, when our players got fouled and where to shoot a free throw the crowd would boo them to try and make them mess up and miss the shot. This was very unsportsmanlike and disrespectful, yet our girls overcame them and made most of their free throws. Also, at the game were snacks for the fans in the stands for whenever they were hungry or when their throats were hurting from all the screaming they were doing for their team. Overall the game was amazing and I would definitely recommend others to join us in our school’s next game. Bye Rams and have a good rest of your day!

Hello Rams! The Boys Basketball team won against their opponent KIPP Metro with a score of 28-20. Less than a minute into the very first minute of the game our team already stole the ball twice. And not only that but from the start our team was dominating. They got steals and rebound and once they did they sprinted down the court and made many layups. Our team is also very athletic even when the passes from their team-mates weren’t the best. The person receiving the ball would jump up and get the ball. It was honestly shocking how high they could jump. Unfortunately not all the boys could play in the game but nevertheless our team still took home to victory. Furthermore, although this game sounded amazing the crowd was not the best. They started trying to talk bad about the fans and players because we were winning. In addition, right after all the smack talking was done sadly one of the opposing team’s player took a nasty fall. He was down there for a good minute before his mom came out of the stand to see what was wrong with him. It was so bad that he was spread out on the ground and couldn’t move. After about 5 minutes he had enough strength to stand with the help of his mom and others. After this tragic event the injured player’s team took a knee and out of respect so did our team and some other people in the crowd. This was a very courteous act by our school team and the people that came to support them. Even though there was word shared between the two team’s fans they still took into consideration how bad the injured player was and put their issues aside. The game had everyone on their feets and the energy in the building was astronomical. You could feel the electricity and excitement. I would definitely recommend coming to the next game.
