As the morning announcement said on March 29, Mr. Hunter is hosting a chess club from 3:20 to 4:00 on Thursdays and Fridays. As a new member of the said club, I think it’s beneficial to students who want to learn chess and students who know how to play chess and vice versa. My favorite part of this club is people actually TALK. It’s not like you're having a chat conversation with your partner Mr.Hunter makes you actually talk. I do have to say chess online isn’t that different. You are going to have to make an account on chess.com, but other than that, it’s a good game. Mr.Hunter is also a Latin teacher, so many of his students (like me) are also in his clubs so he gets to see his students and we get to see our teacher out of class, and sometimes that helps with the learning process. All in all, I’d recommend this club to anyone. You don’t have to even know how to play chess because really? I forgot! Yep, I’m admitting this now. I forgot how to play chess because I didn’t have a chessboard and I hadn’t been practicing either. So, this is a good club for people who want to play, forget how, or just want to have some fun!
