It was a typical Thursday filled with countless boring classes. Except today was Halloween. We just returned from lunch as I got the sudden urge to do the number 2. As I went to the restroom, I heard that the school had gone on lockdown. There was a shooter nearby. I was walking back to the classroom right as I heard a gunshot.
I rushed back to my classroom, scared out of my mind. Right as I ran in there, I heard the fire alarm go off as well. I was searching for my class when I noticed a glint in the corner of my eye. ¨What is that?¨ I thought to myself. As soon as I turned the corner, my face drained of all color—fear shot through my body. I saw the mangled and disembodied corpses of all of my classmates. The only survivor was this one kid named Sam.
I took his hand and rushed out of there. It seems like the same thing happened in every other class, and there was always one survivor. After dI checked every classroom on this floor, I took everybody to the stairs. We started sprinting to the fire exit. I was making sure that we had everybody at the door. As Sam pushed open the heavy metal door, a fire leaped out, seemingly waiting for us. It weaved through us, setting everybody on fire.
The first thing I heard was a single Blood-curdling scream followed by many more. I looked on in pure horror as the people just inches in front of me started going up in flames. I want to look away, but I can't seem to move at all. Seeing my friends flesh just drip drip drip off of their bones seeing their hearts beat slowly to a stop was most terrifying. Almost as charming as my death nearing closer and closer until I heard a sound.
