Stephany Fleet

Stephany Fleet, a 2005 DeWitt graduate, earned six varsity letters in golf and volleyball.  As a two-time All-League and All-Area selection in volleyball, she helped lead the Panthers to two League Championships, two District Championships, and the Class B Regional Championship in 2004.  Fleet deserves a great deal of credit for the meteoric rise of the DeWitt girls golf program, leading the team to Regional Championships in both 2004 and 2005.  Her leadership and tremendous skill set inspired her teammates to compete at the highest level.  During her high school career, the Panthers finished seventh, fifth, and third at states, before capturing the school’s first Division 3 State Championship in girls golf her senior year.  Fleet earned All-League honors all four years of high school.  As a freshman, she was named First Team All-Area, before rising to the Lansing State Journal “Dream Team” for her last three years at DeWitt.  She was selected as the team’s Most Valuable Player all four years, earning All-State honors as a sophomore and junior before being picked as a member of the State Super Team in 2005.  Individually, Fleet finished third in the state three straight seasons before accepting a full-ride scholarship at Eastern Michigan University.  She was named DeWitt’s Female Athlete of the Year in 2005 and later selected to the LSJ “All-Decade Team” in girls golf.  At Eastern, she was a three-time All-MAC selection and graduated with the lowest four-year scoring average in EMU history.  As a senior, Fleet ranked second in the nation in total short game.  With an impressive 3.84 GPA, the two-time captain was selected as an Academic All-American all four years of college.  Fleet finished runner-up in the 2007 U.S. Amateur Pub Links event, followed by a second place finish at the Michigan Amateur Championships in 2008.
