Kristen Eible

Kristen Eible, a 2007 DeWitt graduate, earned eight varsity letters in basketball and soccer.  She won the National Punt, Pass and Kick Championship at the age of nine before becoming an All-League, All-Area, and All-State performer in both basketball and soccer for four years at DeWitt.  Her basketball teams won the 2003 Class B District Championship and back-to-back league championships in 2005 and 2006.  She was named to the Lansing State Journal (LSJ) “Dream Team” as a senior and was selected to play in the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM) All-Star Game.  She also earned Academic All-State honors as a junior and a senior.  In soccer, she earned All-League, All-Area and All-State recognition each of her four varsity seasons.  She was named captain of three league and district championship teams and was also a three-time selection as a member of the LSJ “Dream Team.”  Honored as the LSJ Player of the Year in 2007, she graduated as DeWitt’s all-time leader in both goals and assists, with 86 and 73 respectively.  Eible was DeWitt’s Female Athlete of the Year in 2007 and was later chosen as a member of the LSJ “All-Decade” Girls Soccer Team.  She moved on to star for Grand Valley State University (GVSU), leading the Lakers soccer team to an incredible 87-3-7 record during her career, serving as team captain on back-to-back NCAA Division II National Championship teams in 2009 and 2010.  A four-year starter and Academic All-American, she was selected Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (GLIAC) Freshman of the Year in 2007 and the Most Valuable Player of the NCAA Division II Final Four in 2009.  She graduated as the program’s all-time leader in games played, and her 21 assists and nine game-winning goals are both in the top ten in GVSU’s career leaders.
