My Utopia from 7th grade

My utopia, Ikchamochamo, was a lot of fun to create, and since it was in the beginning of my 7th grade year at Cresthill, I was able to figure out my strengths and weaknesses, in terms of thinking, interacting with people, and processing information from my brain. This was important because I started to establish my place on the team of Discovery, and I had a lot of fun making my utopia.

Zoo Project

The Zoo Project in 8th grade was great. We were in groups of 5 or 6, and our goal was to create an "immersion exhibit" and a poster about a certain animal. My group, Shannon, Radha, Ania, Alisa, and me, was assigned the Reticulated Giraffe. Our first step was to go to the zoo and take notes about certain behaviors of our animal. That was a fun field trip, especially because it took up two whole school days. =) After we got our notes, we were able to make a poster about the animals, and a diorama of an immersion exhibit, or the "perfect" example of an exhibit for the giraffe, based on how the giraffes behaved in their exhibit at the zoo. It was really extensive, and we worked really hard on our project, but it was worth it. We ended up getting third place out of the whole Discovery Team, and since we were in the top three, our project was sent to the zoo to go up against other exhibits and posters from other schools.

Friends

Ok, this is a BIG BIG BIG topic, but I'm not going to write about specific people because I'm just not going to.
