The Rules of Dodgeball

This is a post to hopefully end the arguments about “If your out if it hits the head, bounces of the wall and someone else catches it” or other stupid calls. Anyway, follow these and perhaps you’ll stop saying, “I got you out. . . I got you out. . .I got you out.”

    1. If you get hit with the ball anywhere but the face (the ear doesn’t count) you are out.

    2. If you throw it and someone catches it, you are out and one person from their team that was out can come back in. Generally its a line of people in the order that they got out but if you want a certain person back in you can piss off a lot of your teammates and potentially get beat up by them you can.

    3. You line all the balls up on the line and rush to get the ball in the middle but if you get a ball you have to go back and touch the wall or go past a designated line so you can’t pelt someone then and there.

    4. If it hits the ground you are not out, the ball is dead.

    5. If the ball hits the wall it is dead. You can not catch it.

    6. If you get hit in the foot or the bounce is really close, the person who threw it is always right.

    7. If you get hit and it flies up in the air, someone on your team can catch it.

    8. The most important rule besides rule 9. If you get hit on a piece of clothing or you hair, you are out people. If it hits your pants and flies by, you are out moron. If you say “It just hit my shirt, I’m not out.” You are then removed from the game. You can’t play anymore because then it’s no fun for anyone else.

    9. Beat the living snot out of each other.
