Our goal is to educate students on our environment, specifically how it has impacted policies and its consequences regarding it. We hope to make the WYWLA community a more environmentally friendly place, specifically through our waste management programs we hope to do this year
How do you think this club will affect/push the students in the future?
I think it will be a good stepping stone for students who hope to work in science, policymaking, lawmaking, and advocacy. It will grow student leadership through our opportunities as well as involvement.

This club will help grow students' willingness and advocacy skills, leadership skills, and peer collaborations.
What do you hope your members will get out of this club?
I hope that members learn about how they contribute to the world and our environment, and the crucial role they play. I hope mostly that they have fun with our hands-on activities, club discussions, and volunteering.
MedPioneers
NOVEMBER INSIDE THE CLUB
Give a brief description of your club.
MedPioneers is a club for high schoolers interested in a career in the medical field. Students have an opportunity to learn about careers in the medical field and network with various professionals. In meetings, we discuss key takeaways from presentations and how to incorporate them in our end-of-year project, which will be in the Spring of 2026.
Who is the president or a good spokesperson for this club?
HalleAnn Mosley and Addison Kulawiak are co-presidents of this club.
What are your goals this year for the club?
Our goals are to bring in 20+ medical professionals to talk and present to the OWLs, to try and get more OWLs who want to go into the medical field, or to try and get more OWLs to want to go into the medical field. We also have a goal to complete a medical service project with club members and attend a field trip.
How do you think this club will affect/push the students in the future?
This club will influence students to go into the medical field. OWLs will leave with new knowledge and hopefully experience that will serve them well when applied in medical school.
What skills will this club give to the students?
New knowledge about different medical professions, networking, leadership skills, and a new desire to join the medical field.
What do you hope your members will get out of this club?
We hope members learn more about medical careers and get to work with their peers to help the community. The goal is to open up medical opportunities for those interested.
