Camille Manning recently experienced a Taylor Swift concert.
Here is her story!
How long have you been a Taylor Swift fan?
I have been Taylor Swift fan for about four years, I have always listened to her music but I never truly became a fan until 6th grade.
What is so appealing about Taylor Swift’s music? Her?
Her music is very catchy, and she has such a wide variety of music that is appealing to everyone.
Date you experienced Taylor Swift live in Atlanta?
I went on April 29th, 2023, with my mom, my best friend, and her mom.
How did you get ready for the concert?
I got ready in a hotel with my best friend. We did our hair and makeup and lots of glitter was involved. However, a lot of preparation was put into getting ready, like my outfit. I spent many months, and many mall trips to ensure that I had the perfect outfit.
How was the concert experience? What was the crowd like? How is a Taylor Swift concert different from someone else's? Favorite parts?
The experience was unreal. There is no way to describe that night to fully understand it. I have never felt more welcome in a place, the crowd was one of the best parts. Fans would make friendship bracelets to pass around to other fans, because in the song, You’re on Your Own Kid, Taylor sings “So make the friendship bracelets, Take the moment and taste it” so people would trade bracelets with other fans. No matter if you were on the floor or in the nosebleeds, every seat was magical. Taylors team passed out interactive light bracelets that matched the songs in the show. When the bracelets would light up, it would create a whole show. This concert was like no other, it was practically a broadway show. It was 3 hours long and not a single song disappointed. There was so much effort, detail, and creativity put into every song and the dancers had impeccable choreography.
You traveled from Raleigh to Atlanta, got a hotel, traveled back, etc. Was the concert worth it?
100% it was worth it. This was a once in a lifetime experience and anybody, fan or not, would enjoy the show. This was one of the best weekends of my life that I will never forget.
