This year has been so successful in WYWLA's effort towards gaining a Green School Certificate! Here are some highlights of this year.
The WYWLA Green Team was formed! This club oversees all efforts towards sustainability
Students brought awareness to crucial environmental topics through posters lining the Currin hallway
This Conserve to Serve section of the WYWLA Post was created, where students can learn about environmental activism within WYWLA and beyond
WYWLA held its first ever environmental conference in March! This highschool conference provided a fun and engaging atmosphere for students to learn!
This month, the "intent to apply" form will be submitted towards gaining a Green School certificate
As summer approaches, here are some actions you can take to continue being sustainable:
Choose sustainable transportation methods
Visit your local farmers market
Shop secondhand
Use non-chemical sunscreen instead of the standard model
Carry reusable shopping bags
