I’m a hard-working student who tries her best. I try to succeed in school. It’s important for me to do well to have a bright future. I want to go to college and get a good a good job. I’m interested in helping those less fortunate, here in the United States. My family is from Pakistan and I would like to help people there too. There is much need everywhere. I think that trying my best, doors will open for me. I really like social studies a lot because learning about the past and comparing events them to modern ones.
Will you be the first in your family to attend and graduate from college?
I have 2 older sisters. The eldest is 21 years old and a student at Meredith College. The middle sister is 18 years old and a senior at an early college. Their success motivates me to do well. I want to have more knowledge and do more for my community. Meredith College looks like a great fit for me but we’ll see what the future holds! I will not be the first to graduate in my family but I will be the third in a first generation cycle.
What advice do you get from your sisters?
Don’t procrastinate! Pay attention in class! They keep me motivated and inspire me through their actions. My eldest sister, Machel, helps me with my homework. She inspires me to soar through her example.
