Mrs. Balraj was asked about her Dreamville Music Festival experience.
Here is her story!
What was your reaction to winning 2 tickets to Dreamville?
I WAS ECSTATIC!!! There is a video of my reaction out there somewhere and it’s pretty hilarious!
Who went with you during the two day music festival?
My husband went with me both days! He was so excited!
What time did you arrive each day? Leave?
The first day, we arrived at around 2 pm and the second day we arrived at around 4 pm. We left after the last performances were done both days, which was around 11:30 pm. Since it was extremely crowded, we only made it back to our car at around 12:15 am!
What artists did you go to see?
I saw Teezo Touchdown, EarthGang, Jeremih, Lil Yachty, Schoolboy Q, J.I.D, 50 Cent, Sza, Rae Sremmurd, Nicki Minaj and J.Cole!
What were your favorite performances?
My favorite performances were definitely SZA and J.Cole.
What was your favorite song of the festival?
My favorite songs were Love Yourz by J.Cole and Good Days by SZA.
Were there any artists you really wanted to see?
I was most excited to see SZA and J.Cole!
How did you get ready for Dreamville?
My husband made a playlist of songs from different artists that were going to be performing at Dreamville and we listened to it the week leading up to the festival! I also did a lot of research on what to bring into the festival because I like to be prepared haha!
What was the concert experience like? What was the crowd like? What made this concert festival different from any other concert you’ve attended?
The concert experience was amazing! It was insanely crowded (apparently over 52,000 people were there each day) but it was so cool to enjoy good music with people who love it! We met a lot of new people and everyone was kind and having fun! The energy was so fun and it was amazing to get to dance and sing-along to so many songs I love! This was my first music festival experience and I loved that we got to see so many different artists and enjoy good food. Even though it was extremely crowded, I liked that we could choose between sitting on a blanket and enjoying the music from further away or being close to the stage in a big crowd of people!
