How long have you been cheerleading for?
I have been cheerleading for about almost 8 years now.
Why did you get into cheerleading?
I got into cheerleading because when I was little, I used to do flips off my couch and my mom got sick of my bouncing around everywhere that she put me in this cheer program, and I have loved it ever since then.
What is the main lesson you’ve learned through cheerleading?
I learned that practice makes perfect. If you are struggling with something if you keep practicing, you will become more consistent at it and eventually be perfect.

My favorite thing about cheerleading is stunting.
What major leadership values have you learned through cheerleading?
I have learned how to work with others as a team.
Walk us through a game day!
First, we go and take out our mats to we can do cheers on, we also put them out for the other cheerleaders at the opposing school. Then we do our game day warm up which is includes things like stretching, tumbling, working cheers and stinting. And then we go on the field to help the football team walk out and then we go back to our mat on the sidelines and cheer for the football team as loud as we can.
What has prepared you for cheerleading?
School has definitely prepared me for the work and my time management skills without it I would be so unorganized.
Is there anything else you would like to share with those looking into joining cheerleading?
My advice is to keep pushing yourself no matter what, don't focus on what others are doing focus on yourself. And to not doubt yourself always be confident.
