Conserve to Serve is a new feature sponsored by WYWLA's Green Team.
It will offer insights to ways we can conserve and be better stewards of our planet!
AT WYWLA:
For the fall semester, our focus is increasing student access to environmental education! The Green Team has designed posters that are displayed throughout Currin to kick this off! There are also ongoing discussions of implementing environmental education days in GLC, and in WISE groups. We hope that every OWL has the opportunity to become climate conscious!

IN THE COMMUNITY:
The city of Raleigh recently became the first city to win a climate education grant through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This is so exciting as Raleigh plans to use it towards prioritizing communities that are most vulnerable to flooding and excessive heating. Read more about this grant and the impact it has Here!

The holiday season is coming up soon! Studies show that carbon emissions and plastic pollution spike during this time due to the amount of gifts being exchanged.
