Do Things With All Your Heart
23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
1 Corinthians 13:11-13
Three Great Things on Earth are Faith, Hope, and Love
11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Matthew 11:29 (KJV)
Meek and Lowly of Heart
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Matthew 5:5
The Meek Are Blessed
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Psalm 37:11 (KJV)
The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
A mystery is sometimes defined as something that is difficult or impossible to understand or explain...A mystery is difficult and at times very hard to understand...A mystery can give me a feeling of uncertainty, because I do not understand a particular thing or many things...Doubt is often defined as a feeling of uncertainty about something...Doubt also can be defined as questioning of a truth or truths...
For me there is this connection between mystery and doubt...And I also find a great mystery in faith...So, I see this mystery in both my doubts and my faith...And it seems sometimes, if not most of the time, there is little I can do for the doubts I have...But when I think about the mysteries of life sometimes I can find some happiness and a smile from the mysteries of life, which makes miracles happen...I sometimes wonder if my faith might better and stronger, if I better accept these mysteries as well as these doubts...
It is possible a life without doubts and a life without mystery would not be a full and happy life...Is it possible to find a peace and rest in the mysteries and doubts of life?...What would happen if we always knew what was going to happen?...
Life gives us uncertainties, because life is always uncertain...Life does not tell us what is going to happen in the next hour, tomorrow, or next year...A full life is about following a path, even though we do not know what is going to happen and we do not know where is may lead us...Is it possible we can find joy in these uncertainties...God wants us to give this life He gives us our all...And while giving it our all, He wants us to remain humble about any accomplishments that we might have...And when we follow this narrow, lighted path -amazing things can happen...Along this path, we will see and find love, hope, and faith...The three greatest things that life can bring and give us...
When we see that some of our doubts and mysteries can lead us to faith, hope, and love -life gets better...We might see that in these mysteries, these doubts, these uncertainties in our lives there is Something that is supposed to be there for us -Something quite gracious, quite gentle, and quite great...Something that brings a great delight, and an abundance of peace...
