Jeremiah 29:13
Seek God with All Your Heart
13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
John 14:6
The Truth
6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Matthew 6:33
Seek God's Kingdom and His Righteousness First
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Matthew 5:1-4
On Comfort
1 Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them saying: 3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 lessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10
We Cannot Even Imagine What God Has Prepared for Those Who Love Him
9 However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"-- 10 but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
Jesus stood up two thousand years ago and said I AM Truth...We should be seeking Truth, trying to find out more about Truth, and be doing our best to get to know the Truth...We must seek Him with all of our heart...Our hearts are the spiritual center in us...We often seek different things and we wind up with the want for material things, which are really not treasures of heaven...On earth, it seems we search for comfort and things that will make us comfortable, rather than seeking the important things in life that Jesus teaches us...It seems we have literally been seeking comfort from the very day we are born...Maybe God has put in us this innate desire to find the thing in the world that is most comfortable...And that would be Him and His Son...Do we just overlook our deep desires and go for the shallow ones, the ones that are the easiest to find and get?...
C. S. Lewis said "If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair."...
Let us seek God's Kingdom...We must first seek Truth, or as Jesus says "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."...It seems to me that on earth it is natural to want to find and be comfortable...There is something in us that seems to seek out comfort...Finding the Truth may take us away from this comfort zone of the earth...Or are we really seeking and looking for the comfort of Jesus?...Maybe when we are able to understand Jesus completely, we break out of this earthly comfort zone and into His comfort...Maybe we can only learn more about the unknown and unfamiliar kingdom of God until after our deaths...Maybe there is this comfort zone that is far beyond what we can even imagine...
Our earthly life started when we left our mother's womb, yet we were alive in the womb...We were alive and comfortable...And yet, we had no way of knowing what was going to happen (to us) and who would be taking care of us, when we left our mother's womb...Our birth happened and our lives just began...Or has our earthy life begun before our birth?...Weren't we alive the nine previous months?...After we are born, we immediately begin looking and crying trying to find the comforts of earth -while all the time needing help from someone...This comes from our parents or our guardians...The help we will get will be from two we never will forget -our mother and father...Maybe our eternal life starts much like this, when we leave our mother's womb...We do not know what is going to happen in the unknown and unfamiliar place we are going...Yet we will be helped and comforted by two new faces -Jesus and His Father...A new life begins, yet we had been alive all the earlier years...And this great and grand place of heaven will be the most comfortable place that we could have not even imagined...Eternal comfort, is a place called heaven...
Jesus found comfort and rest in helping people in need...Jesus found peace in Truth...Jesus is Truth, the Way, and the Way we should lead our lives...
