Matthew 5:17-20
Jesus Fulfills the Bible and the Law
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
The Bible is all about Jesus...The Bible represents the Word of God...And Jesus is the Word...In the very, initial beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God...The Word was God...Thus the Word is God...Jesus was with God in the beginning...Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made...In Him is life, and that life is the light of all mankind...The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it...
Jesus dwelt among men and taught Twelve men in particularly...Jesus did not come to replace or abolish the Bible, but to fulfill it and its Words...For truly, He told us, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished...Therefore whoever sets aside one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and follows its Word and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven...For Jesus told us, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven...
The Bible is many books written thousands of years ago that has somehow kept up with the times...It is never out of date...The Bible Words will never pass away, because Jesus' Words will never pass away...The Bible is filled with teachings, stories, songs, poetry, wisdom, history, but most of all life...A Book we can turn to at any age in our lives...
John William Drane is a Christian theologian and author...Mr. Drane said these things about the Bible and the New Testament...The Bible is not just one book, but an entire library, with stories, songs, poetry, letters and history, as well as literature that might more obviously qualify as 'religious.'...The sheer diversity of literature in the Bible is one of the secrets of its continuing popularity through the centuries...There is something for all moods and many different cultures...Its message is not buried in religious jargon only accessible to either believers or scholars, but reflects the issues that people struggle with in daily life...The Gospels were written to present the life and teachings of Jesus in ways that would be appropriate to different readerships, and for that reason are not all the same...They were not intended to be biographies of Jesus, but selective accounts that would demonstrate His significance for different cultures...
