Matthew 5:29-30
Obstacles Causing Sin
29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
Matthew 6:14
Forgive Others of their Sins
14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Matthew 10:28
The Importance of the Soul
28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
Jesus teaches us the eternities...He is all about eternal life, and that is what His teachings reflects -Eternal Life...So He wants us to know how important the eternities are...Sins and the soul are things that are about eternal life...
Jesus tells us that there is more to fear than one who can kill the body...There are things we should fear more than suffering and death...The great fear is the loss of eternal salvation...This is worse than losing one's body to death...A man losing his eternal salvation is a much greater loss...There is nothing more important than our eternal salvation...Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul...God is the One and Only One who can do both...So be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell...So if your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away...It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell and lose your eternal life in heaven...And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away...Rid yourself of those things that cause you to sin...It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go to hell...Your body is only temporary anyway...And our time on earth is only temporary...The body is temporary part of life, while the Spirit and soul give us eternal life...The Spirit is eternal...
Jesus often in His teachings was forgiving people of their sins...He was most merciful, in this respect...Forgiving is not judging at all...Forgiving is about being merciful...He was forgiving of others, and working with them to have faith and gain a greater faith and to give those He was with (and us) eternal life...He showed us His glorious Grace and great Mercy when He died on the cross for us for our sins, not His sins...He had no sins...He wants us to forgive others of their sins, and those that have sinned against us...This is why He teaches us in His Prayer that we are to forgive other people when they sin against us, then your heavenly Father will also forgive us of our sins...
