Matthew 5:17-18
The Fulfillment of the Law
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
2 Peter 1:19-21
Scripture Originated from God
19 We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus fulfills the Old Testament Scripture...Jesus did not come to abolish the Law of Moses, but to fulfill it...Jesus is the Anointed One...He is our Messiah...
The authors of the Old Testament wrote about Jesus...He was the Prophet that was to come...He was the Messiah from the root of Jesse, and King David's lineage...Our Bible authors were inspired by God...No Scripture came about and was written, solely by man...God is the source of the Bible and Scripture...
The atheist does not believe the biblical authors...For that matter, they do not believe in the Bible at all...If one does not believe in the Bible, how could Jesus fulfill the early Scripture writings then, about Him?...How else could they write about and know that an actual Messiah would come, if God was not the source of the Bible?...For those who believe, we hold these writings as truth, and see the Scripture and the Bible as evidences of our God...These authors were, in fact, inspired by God as they wrote about God and His Son...
No Scripture that was written, is solely a function of what the author saw or felt...God was involved and in control of the Book that written about Him...
