Hebrews 13:8
Jesus the Same -Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Luke 23:33-34
Jesus Forgives Those Who Were Going to Crucify Him
33 When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. 34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
Matthew 5:43-45
Love Thy Enemies
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
John 15:13
The Greatest LOVE
13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.
There are different types of wills in our lives...And we are confronted with these wills each and everyday...I see life having four different kinds of will...There is the free will that God has given us....This will is different than the other three wills, in that free will is an act of God...God us us our free will to act and behave, however we choose to do...And not only that from a Spiritual side, God allows us to believe in Him or not to believe in Him...And in God giving us free will we can choose what we do with our life each and everyday...
I would call these other three wills -my will, someone else’s will, of God’s Will...
My will is a selfish will...My will is selfish in terms of what I want and what I want to do...It looks for immediate pleasures, and looks for a quick satisfaction to any desire one might have...My will is self centered and is more short term and earthly oriented...Following someone else's will could be different...Choosing to do someone else’s will might or might not be better than doing your own will...If someone else is always doing acts of kindness for others, and are less and less self centered than you are, their will would be better than my will…However, if their will is more self-absorbed than my own will, then my will might be better...This will is also more self-centered and short term...
Of the three God’s Will is quite naturally the best...God's Will is a long term situation and will last and last...Jesus showed us that His Will and doing God’s Will is a continuous act of selflessness.God is never self centered...God's Will is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow...God teaches us that we can forgive others even when they are going to do us great harm...God, therefore, quite naturally loves His enemies...And He tells us that the greatest love of all is completely centered around others…A Greater LOVE no man or woman has than to lie down His own life for others...God's Will is complete selfless LOVE that is transcendent and eternal...
