Life with PJ
5 January 2009: 13-Months
PJ officially became a walker on his 13-month birthday. Daddy has never been so proud in his entire life. But wait, it gets better. About 2 weeks ago PJ stopped waking up around 11 pm for his late night feeding so he now sleeps non-stop from 7 pm to 7 am. And he goes down for bed without a fuss. He's pretty much the best little guy ever!

15 January 2009: Random Events in January
The new year is treating PJ well, as you can see in the photos below. He did make a poopie on the floor during his naked time, and we took a photo of it, but decided not to post it.
To start the year, Daddy and PJ cut the grass together. This is second time I have done this. The first time he fell asleep.

He has also got his own spot for watching the Backyardigans on the ipod while Mom works in the kitchen.
And towards the end of the month, during his afternoon nap, the little guy fell asleep in this postion.
And he slept that way for 45 minutes out of his 90 minute nap.
5 February 2009: 14 Months
Truth be told, the photos below were taken several days after PJ's 14-month birthday.
10 February 2009: Beach
After visiting Ma and Pa for a few days, we drove up the coast on the way back to Berkeley and stopped at one of the many beaches. Daddy got caught by a rouge wave and got wet, but made sure that PJ was safe.
5 March 2009: 15 Months
PJ, on his 15-month birthday, weighed in at 28 pounds 8 ounces and stood 32 3/4 inches tall. This puts him in the 90th percentile for height and weight (down from 95). His head size is in the 75th percentile, however given the enormous noggins of Mommy and Daddy, this is probably a good thing.
Additionally, as of February 21st, PJ is fully weaned. Now after his bath, Daddy lies down with PJ and a 6 ounce bottle of whole organic milk. After chugging the milk, usually in one go, Daddy and PJ whisper to each other, rub noses, and enjoy quality face time. After 10 to 15 minutes, I transfer PJ from the bed to crib, even if he is fully awake, cover him with CoCo's hand-made quilt, and slip out of the room. He might cry for a few seconds, but 9 times out of 10 he goes right to bed without a sound.
PJ's outstanding 'Buddha' belly, along with his sunny disposition makes me think he might be a good candidate for the next Dalai Lama. Click here for a high resolution image of this photo.
