Em wanted a simple buffet style meal for Christmas. She got the buffet part right, but I'm not so sure about the simple.
The master at work. Yes, that is a bottle of Dom at the sink.
The spread part 1: smoked salmon, on the board, clockwise from top left: truffled Brillat-Savarin, Bleu d'Auvergne, Epoisse, fresh goat with fig mostarda and fried herbs, truffled chicken liver pate, and a cave-aged Gruyere.
The spread part 2: various veggies, bread from the Cheeseboard, Lucques and Nicoise olives, pan-roasted Shishito peppers, and guacamole.
All of this for only 6 people plus one baby.
He's pretty much the best little guy that there ever was...
