St. Louis

2002 March

St. Louis

Dale, my boss/mentor, and I went to St. Louis in March of 2002 to meet with our Joint Venture partner, Jacobs, and the Corps of Engineers regarding our design of the Olmsted Dam. We spent about 3 days at Jacob's downtown office, which was just a few minutes walk from both the Gateway Arch and the stadium where the St.Louis Rams play. Our hotel was the "St. Louis Athletic Club". It was quite cold during our visit so I didn't do much sightseeing. However, I did go up to the top of the arch and one night, hopped over the construction fences and walked across the Eads Bridge, over the Mississippi River into Illinois. At the time it was being repaired and closed to traffic.

Someone else took this great picture of the arch. Thanks! Please don't sue me.
