Map suitability: Best terrain for long distance course setting within cooee of Bendigo.
Land Manager: DEECA (Names as of 2025)
Assembly sites:
Parking along Tolhurst Rd sufficient for a local event. Quiet dead end track. Competitor instructions.
No longer suitable. Too small.
Private land used for Oceania Championship in 2003. Permission required. Land has changed hands and been developed since the last use so access uncertain.
Sedgwick Hall (off the map to west). Its an 800 metre walk to a start on the map, but the shelter of a hall, a playground and a functioning kitchen more than compensate. Competitor instructions.

Safety Issues:
Map status: First mapping by a Norwegian team for a World Cup event. Next mapping by Rob Plowright. Third mapping was by Alex Tarr in 2003 for the Oceania Championship. In 2021 Neil Barr converted the map to ISOM17 symbology and georeferenced the map using rubber sheeting to a 2020 lidar image. This is not yet a lidar based map. Tracks not updated.
