This is the place to get a copy of a map for organising a Bendigo Orienteering Club event. There are over 90 maps available on this site. We will endeavour to have the most recent copy of each map on this site.
Maps are organised into the following categories.
Bush orienteering maps: Bush terrain mapped according to ISOM conventions at 1:15,000 scale.
Bush sprint maps: Small areas of often detailed bush terrain. Most will be mapped at 1:5,000 scale according to ISSOM conventions.
MTBO maps: Only a few are available due to permitting issues.
Park and Campus maps: Maps of urban parks and larger campuses, sometimes mapped according to ISSOM conventions.
Primary School Maps: Very small areas mapped according to no convention.
Street Orienteering maps: A few maps of the Bendigo urban area.
Here are some guides written to help organise a club event.
Guide 1: Organising a Bendigo event
Guide 2: Course setting with Condes: How to use course setting software for the beginner.
Guide 4: Setting up computers at the event
Condes templates:
Most of the files stored on this site are in OCAD 18 format. There are no licensed copies of this software in the club. [There is one privately-owned copy]. Open Orienteering Mapper is an open-source free product that can read these files. You may also view the OCAD files in the free OCAD viewer, but this does not allow you to set courses or edit the files. You can use this to hide symbols (eg tracks) and save the file. https://www.ocad.com/en/downloads/ocad-viewer
Most club users will use these files in comjunction with Condes. Do not try to open the file directly with Condes. Instead, download the file rather than open it. Then call the file when setting up the event on CONDES.
