Map suitability: Some very steep hills. Some very flat land. Limited areas of granite and erosion detail. Long distance style setting.

Access issues: 

Assembly sites: 

1.  Gravel extraction area on Yunah Road. Up to 30 cars on the north side and a further 10 cars further along on the south side. Competitor instructions.

2. Good assemblies did exist around here, but many have been ripped and seeded. Trafficable only to 4wd. Do not use.

3. Mohair Dam. Assembly possible downstream of the dam. Parking only for organiser vehicles due to track deterioration. Competitor parking along Mohair Rd. Competitor instructions.

4. Lots of parking along Mohair Road, but access to the terrain at the SW end is poor. Better to use site 3. 

5.  Range View on Brigg Rd. There is a toilet but limited parking (maybe up to 25 cars) on Brigg Road at the ridge top. Very scenic location. Competitor instructions. 

Safety Issues: Some deep mines on the main ridge
