Suitability: Unique terrain. Part of the map is three lines of reef with very detailed reef mining. This is set in a Mallee forest which varies from fast and open in the centre of the map to thicker elsewhere, sometimes close to impassable broom brush, but dissected by a complex of rides and tracks left by the broom brush cutters.

Access Issues:
Assembly sites:
1- Inglewood Botanic Gardens. Requires permission from Loddon Shire Council. Used for the 2025 Easter Carnival due to parking available. Competitor parking should be on the east side of the Inglewood Powlett Rd. However, its some way from the best terrain. Keep runners off the trotting track. Competitor instructions.
2- Columbian Reef. Parking on the side of a wide but quiet road. This may change if the Maxwell Mine re-opens. Good site for an event centre in the nearby clearing and in the midst of the best mining terrain. Competitor instructions.
3- Maxwells. Lots of parking along the road and in some parking areas for the Maxwell Mine. In 2025 the mine was in care and maintenance. However it now appears to be re-opening. The status on weekends will need to be checked. Competitor instructions.
4- Old Inglewood Town. The site of the first Inglewood, on Christie Road. Large clearings. Competitor instructions.
Safety Issues: Some deep mine shafts.
Map status: Mapped in 2022-23 by Neil Barr using a 10m DEM and a gps enabled tablet.
