Map suitability: A gently sloped area with many tracks, made suitable for orienteering by the many scattered mining point features. Suitable for middle distance style course setting.

A clearing regularly used by vehicles and the choice for the first two events held on this map as it is centrally located to the best mining detail. Parking for 50+ vehicles in a large clearing. Competitor instructions.
A clearing often used by bush campers and caravaners. Parking for 35-40 vehicles. Competitor instructions.
Parking for an estimated 35 vehicles in another clearing used by campers. Competitor instructions.
Clearing on the little used west side of the map under a transmission line route, adjacent to mining detail. Parking for 25 vehicles in clearings either side of road with overflow along road. Competitor instructions.
Safety Issues: Some deep mine shafts.
Map status: Mapped by Neil Barr in 2018 using a 2010 lidar base. The map is not ISOM17 compliant as it was experimentally mapped at a 1:10,000 scale. Only one person has noticed this whilst competing.
